Intending an approach to the feeling of Andean-America faces and landscapes arise in memory. Colors and forms mix, play and persist. The unforgettable sensation of listening to the silence of Tiwanaku, the different red tints of Paracas and the textures of stone sculpted in magical symbology. This is the phantastic Andean-America we habit and suffer. She is involving and cyclic, she repeats and persists. She is the ancestral insistency of keeping a cosmogony that covers from Man’s Things to Nature’s Creation. She involves both in a totalizing, mythic and circular conception. Starting from this, ESCULTUR-ALU comes forth as an exhibition of sculptures, using the languages of contemporary art. They are small sized sculptures done in marmor and wood, with their modules of recycled aluminium. ESCULTUR-ALU is also an itinerant exhibition visiting diferents cities in Argentina during a year. This formulation including different technics, holds a deep relationship between them and finally integrates every thing. It’s interpretations, the aesthetic and the ethic identify both in as common target: the possibility of Culture to declare in behalf of enviroment preservation, of life. From aesthetics, most of the works are based on praecolumbian elements, re-created in to-day. | It
tends to be a contribution to a better comprehension of these cultures
and specially of that form of living-feeling so compenetraterd with
the place where they developed, knowers of that symbolic events that
includes Man as a part of Nature, insepparable of his enviroment. The
Fish and the Pidgeon of Paracas, the Colibrí, The Dances of the Cóndor
and of the Colibrí, were caugth from the iconography which reaches us
from that primordial time, form the time of etnia, of the region of
the place. From ethics, incorporation of recycled aluminium is a
proposal tending to include in the everyday the ancient mandate of
protection and respect to the earth we inhabit. So did those
inhabitants, since ever, celebrationg the Earth, the Pachamama. And
even nowadays, they still do. To understand this message is an
imperative need. In this way, people recognize themselves culturally
entire and respectful to their soil. It is still time to do it, so
this is a search that will have succesful results, without doubt,
because the target is conformed by Cultur and Life, in a constant
become, to enable the colibrí and the Condor to continue their flight
forever…
